Aizu Cotton Jinbei for Dogs
A jinbei — a traditional Japanese summer garment — tailored for your dog from Aizu momen, the cotton textile woven in this region for four centuries. Sewn by hand, one at a time.
Because your dog is family, we wanted to make something real. This is a proper jinbei tailored from the traditional textile Aizu momen, with care given to comfort and to the small details. It is hard-wearing, machine washable at home, and the fabric softens beautifully with use.
What is Aizu momen?
A traditional craft textile woven in Aizu since the Edo period, some 400 years. It is understated rather than flashy, but the beauty of its striped weave and its durability make it a fine everyday companion for your dog.
Handmade, one at a time
Each jinbei is sewn by hand with care for a much-loved dog. You can choose the fabric pattern you like best.

Please measure your dog before ordering. The listed breeds are a rough guide only.

Please allow around two to three weeks for production. Each jinbei is made to order, so stock is not always available. Thank you for your understanding.

Production and handover
Once the details are settled we begin sewing (about two to three weeks). Collect in store or have it delivered.
